Part 1

The sun was shining brightly through the window of my small but conservative appartment. Another day another 3 meal replacement shakes. 3 meal replacement shakes... 5 shots of schnapps to get myself warm and relaxed for a long stressful day at work. Of course... i had gotten so drunk the night before that i forgot about the accident i had that fateful evening on the way home from the pub... I forgot about the court case... I forgot about the lovely meeting i was being forced to attend. The nerve of those arseholes... telling me i was an alcoholic... That i was a menace to society with me addiction to being drunk, the feeling of alcohol running through my veins... the ability to sleep deeply and get through the day feeling light headed and happy... whats wrong with that!!! Of course... If i didnt attend i'd be facing further charges which of course, i wanted avoid. So... I woke... Had my alcohol... had my meal replacement... had a shower and nearly fell over... slippery floor... you know how it is. I hopped in the car and started driving to my lovely meeting, noticing that it was 2pm and the meeting was at 2:15. Whoops. I decided that i needed my eyes tested... Everything was a little blurry, but i made it ok and only one person got pissed off at me.

I parked the car over 2 spaces... Walked into the building and saw the sigh to AA... joy... 'here we go' i thought to myself and sighed as i headed down the corridor and followed the arrows to a room. I decided to take a swig of Schnapps from the convenient bottle in my coat and stumbled in the room. Someone was standing up talking about their life... as if i could care... i was only here to keep my licence... which of course had been suspended but i didnt give a shit. I stumbled to find my chair and i tell you... i got the worst looks from people... not like i was interrupting anything important. I huffed loudly and slumped in my chair to be greeted by a "shhhhh" from some anorexic looking hag in front of me.

"Shhh yourself" I said... i didnt want to be there..

They rambled on and on and on... and on and on and on and on and on... and on and on and on and on and on... different people standing talking crap that i wasnt paying attention to really.

It was only 5 minutes before i could go home so i decided to hear the last bit... just so i could write in that damn diary about the session. I crossed my arms in front of me and watched some shrimp stand and nervously face the group.

"Hi... My name is Paul... and I'm an Alcoholic"
