Part 26

2 weeks late Paul was allowed to come home. His talking was going great. We could converse properly and he was sounding less and less croaky. Randy thought his voice sounded really funny and laughed every time he spoke. Paul even started acting more like a father, playing games and doing little odd things like getting him a drink when he had the strength to get up by himself. I moved into his house with Randy so i could take care of both of them. Rich came around to visit too alot and Tim... well Tim was trying to get a solo show organised so he could keep going with the stripping.

Paul

They all took such great care of me. It wasnt long before i could talk normally again and was able to keep walking for atleast an hour before getting tired. I felt as though i was getting ready for all of this. Wife, couple of children. I enjoyed taking Randy shopping and buying him clothes and toys. It was fun dressing him up and having him look as hansom as his dad. I think i was made for this part but i never saw it.

It wasnt long after my recovery got to the media and letters started flooding in asking when the DAASS were going to do another performance. I decided to ask the doctor about my singing ability.

"So doc what do you think?"

"Look Paul im going to give it to you strait. The damage was bad. You're lucky to even be able to talk normally. Your larynx is weak and i fear that if you put the strain on it like that then something bad could happen. I dont know for sure if this is the case but i do believe that the outcome would not be good if you sang professionally again."

"but... there's a possibility of nothing happening right???"

"*sigh* yes Paul... but only about 25% chance of nothing happening"

"thanks doc"

"Your welcome... and Paul... please dont do anything stupid"

I nodded and left the office. If the show was going to go on, it would have to go without me... or atleast without my voice...
