Part 15
Through out the reception I was expecting that I would wake up and find that it had all been a dream… but I didn't. Apparently everyone knew but me. Paul's parents were there and my parents didn't seem upset by the whole thing at all.
Finally it was time for the dance. Paul and I began to dance slowly around the room, the bridal and grooms party joined and other people did too. We didn't talk… we just looked lovingly into each others eyes until someone stood beside us.
"Can I cut in" And I looked around to see Tim… Paul handed me over to him and we danced. It crossed my mind that I was suppose to be doing this with him tonight… but I knew that everything happened right.
"You look beautiful…" He said and smiled.
"How did you know I would say yes…"
"We didn't… If you said no to me… we would have revealed who was standing next to you and go from there… But knowing you the way I do… you're the person to realize you've done something wrong just that little bit too late."
"I love u Tim" I said and kissed him gently.
"I love you too… Now you'd better start dancing with a few of these people who are waiting hey"
'Thank you so much." I said and he nodded before letting me go and Paul moved to take me again.
"Oh by the way…" Tim said turning to face me.
"You're going to need these" And he extended his hand and held out a set of keys. It was the keys to the house we had planned to move into after our honeymoon. I took them from him and looked disbelievingly… I looked at Paul and back to Tim…
"Tim I…" But he held up his finger to my lips and spoke in a manner that was… strange. His voice echoed through out the room.
"You were meant to be together" He said quietly and a strange light seemed to surround him… no-one else could see it as it seemed.
"Everyone has a purpose… mine was to bring you 2 together. Enjoy the life you have and take care the little one. I'll miss you" He said moving further back but not actually walking. By this time a tear began to travel down my face.
"I love u" I whispered again and he smiled, raised his hands to wave and faded into the background… into nothing.
"Wow…" was all Paul seemed to be able to say.
We danced in silence until the end of the song… we decided not to talk about it until the end of the reception.
After dancing with several more people, we finally sat down in out seats and Paul leaned over and spoke quietly.
'What did he mean… take care of the little one" He said curiously.
"Oh… yes… Honey… there's something I have to tell you" I said and placed my hand on my belly. His grinned stretched from ear to ear… and it stayed that way for the rest of the evening.
The end.
