Part 9

The funeral was beautiful. Paul sat in the seat, next to his company with a strange, content smile that seemed painted on his face.

"Poor dear" People muttered as they looked at him.

"He doesn't even know what happened"

In his mind, life was going as normal. His body was tired and seemed to be unable to respond to the stimulation it was use to.

The funeral ended, Paul and his companion began to walk to the nearest transport that would take them to his beach side home. 'Lets go up there' his mind heard his mouth say. His companion agreed and they entered a large building that was at least, 35 floors. 'There's a nice deck on top where you can look over the city I go here a lot with Richard' his voice carried again and his companion sighed. The elevator hummed quietly as it made its way up and up and up until finally there was a light ding to indicate their arrival at the chosen destination. The view was breath taking. They stood side by side on the ledge. His companion was not thrilled by the choice of position but he was there to be with Paul so he followed suit and stood on the edge.

'Ever wanted to fly' Paul whispered as he placed his hand on the lower back of the man who stood before him.

"Paul what are you doing"

'I want to see you fly to see if they are watching you watching you like they watch me. I know they are... So lets give them a special show. Shows that they won't forget. You are the last one that I can save. They told me I could chose 4 My 4 closest that I could choose I chose them Richard, he didn't deserve this life Tim He loved it but was nave to everything. Rove He didn't know what he was in for he didn't know anything and look at what he started and you my dear friend. I know about the people who admire you. The ones who admired me Us We will be free and safe together!'

There was something strange in his eyes. A darkness that this man had never seen before.

"Paul what are you talking about? Stop this you're scaring me!" He cried before a loud scream left his lips. Pressure had been applied to his back and his body began to fall. Shouts were heard below as passers by pointed up to the man falling from the sky. There was a gruesome thud, more screams and a noisy silence. His body lay still on the pavement. Blood trickling from somewhere, a steady stream that became a small pool. Red His body was surrounded by red. The all looked up to see Paul standing on the edge.

'HE'S FREE! THEY'RE FREE FROM ALL OF YOU! AND NOW ITS MY TURN TO BE FREE.' He shouted and again, more screams followed. Traffic had stopped and hundreds of people had gathered around the broken body that fell previously. As if in slow motion, Paul bent his knees and lifted into the air. The wind fluttered beneath his jacket and slowly yet so quickly he plummeted towards the cement. He cried 2 words as his body shot down.

'Goodbye Wil! I'm Free!'
