Part 1

DAYS EARLIER

Paul and Tim lay together in Paul's bed, wrapped up in each other's arms, their legs tangled beneath the sheets. Both were just enjoying being together, and at that moment it was as if the rest of the world didn't exist. Tim rested his head on Paul's naked chest and Paul gently stroked his hair.

"I love you Tim."

A smile crept on to Tim's face and he rolled onto his stomach, looking up at his lover. Paul's eyes were sparkling, a mixture of deep green and hazel, and Tim could see the love shining through. He smiled again.

"I love you too Paul, forever and always."

Paul returned the smile and continued running his right hand through Tim's thick dark hair. Tim inched his way up Paul's naked body so their faces were just inches apart. Paul couldn't bear to have him so close without touching him, so he reached out his arms and pulled the other man into his embrace.

"Forever and always."

Repeating his words, Paul rolled Tim onto his back, the sheets falling off them and onto the floor. But they cared not and Paul kissed Tim deeply as the sunlight shone in through the window across their naked bodies.
