Part 17

Wil sat in the empty jail cell, staring at the wall. He'd called Corinne's place almost half an hour ago and judging from the sounds over the phone he'd interrupted something. But Corinne had said Paul would be down there right away.

"Wil?"

Wil looked up and saw Paul standing there with a guard. Wil jumped to his feet.

"I've never been happier to see anyone in my life."

The guard opened the door and let Wil walk out. Paul gave Wil a quick hug and then turned back to the guard.

"So we can go?"

"Yeah you can go. But don't leave town alright?"

"Not planning on it."

Wil shot a rather dirty glance at the guard and then walked out of the building with Paul. They got in the car and Wil motioned for Paul to hurry up.

"Come on, I want to get back to the hospital."

Paul paused and Wil raised an eyebrow at him.

"What's going on?"

"Well when I said I was going to come down here and get you, Corinne said she wanted to go and have a little talk with Belinda."

Wil sighed.

"I don't want to get you two involved in this any more than you have to be."

Paul placed a hand on Wil's shoulder.

"We're your friends Wil. We care about you and Rove and I know that I for one am not going to let anything happen to either of you."

Wil smiled.

"Thanks Paul."

They then quickly got into the car and made their way back to the hospital. It was after midnight now and Wil was still worried for Rove's safety - Belinda had now proven to everyone that she could not be trusted, Wil just hoped Corinne understood that.

When Paul and Wil arrived back at the hospital, they found Corinne talking to Belinda in the waiting room. Fury raged through Wil's body and it took every muscle he had not to react on it. At the time, he really couldn't care less what happened to Belinda, he'd preferred her dead but he wasn't going to be the one to kill her as he didn't want to end up in jail.

Wil and Paul approached the girls, trying not to give in to their anger towards Belinda.

"Sorted it out yet?" Paul asked. "You know I said you could only come to the hospital with us if you promised not to hurt Rove or Wil, yet you disobey me. What has gotten into you Belinda?"

Belinda stood up and smacked Paul across the face. Before he could do anything back, she quickly ran off down the corridor - towards Rove's room again no doubt.

"Someone stop her!" Wil cried out.

A doctor stood in Belinda's way. "Hey now, no running in the hospital. It's an important rule we all must obey."

"But" Belinda started.

"No buts, why are you running anyway?"

She couldn't very well tell the doctor the truth now; she had to conjure up a lie.

"I thought Paul was going to attack me." She said, which wasn't entirely false anyway. She did believe Paul might attack her.

"I'm getting sick of your attitude lady." Another doctor said from behind her.

Belinda turned around with a confused expression on her face. "Wha?"

"We were informed of the previous events this evening. If you don't get yourself together, I'm going to have to phone the police in."

"Take me away now then, I can't stand being here withhim." Belinda said, glaring at Wil.

For once she was actually telling the truth.

The doctor shrugged and in a few moments Belinda was cuffed and taken away by police.

Wil walked over to the doctors and asked how Rove was doing once again, expecting a 'not too well yet' kind of response, but he still thought it was worth a try.

"Well he seems to be coping quite well. He woke up a little while ago but isn't really fit to have visitors just yet. If he continues to heal as quickly as he's doing now, you should be able to see him tomorrow." One of the doctors told Wil.

Wil let out a sigh of relief, thankfully hearing some good news, finally. It had been a while, especially with everything that had gone on.

"And how long will it take his bones to heal?" Wil asked.

"Probably somewhere between two and six months. I'd be leaning more towards the two months mark considering how he's doing now. He's going to have to be careful - no sudden movements, foreplay and intercourse is out of the question. We've taken him out of intensive care now though."

"He doesn't have any idea that Belinda tried to kill him again does he? I think that's the last thing he needs to know right now."

"No, no one has told him and we don't intend to either."

"Thank you doctor. Do you mind if I just spend the rest of the night here anyway, just in case there's any more news on my friend?"

"Not at all, though you're going to have to stay in the waiting room. We can't have you gallivanting around the hospital."

"No worries." Wil said then went back to sit with his friends.

"What did he say?" Corinne asked curiously.

"Rove's doing much better, he doesn't know Belinda tried to kill him again, and his bones will heal in about two months." Wil saidhe didn't particularly want to mention what didn't sink in until just now.

I'm not going to be able to fuck him for two months? Wil thought. He almost fainted, not knowing if he'd be able to cope, but he loved Rove and that didn't mean he had to sleep with him every chance he got. He could probably still suck him offcouldn't he? Wil ignored those thoughts for the moment, only keeping thoughts of Rove getting better on his mind.

"That's not that bad then." Corinne commented.

"No I guess not, but it'll still be hard to do the show. I think we should cancel the next week's worth and see what happens from there. Rove will only be able to stand, and maybe walk on crutches a little bit, after that. We're going to have to change the show." Wil said.

"Try not to think about that for the moment, you have enough stress without adding more right now."

Corinne stood up and gave Wil a comforting hug, letting him know she was there for him.

"Do you want us to stay with you?" Paul asked.

"No that's okay, I know I interrupted something when I phoned from the police station. You two go ahead and have fun."

Corinne and Paul glanced at each other and smiled. They then walked hand-in-hand out of the hospital together.
