Part 7

Wil was in his car, driving home when he heard his mobile ring. He pulled over to the side of the road and picked up his mobile, which was conveniently placed on the passenger seat beside him. He looked at the flashing screen to see who was ringing him. It was Rove.

Wil pressed the button to answer and held the phone up to his ear.

"Hello Rove?"

"Hi." Rove said sheepishly on the other end. He wasn't quite sure what to say; all he knew was that he wanted to hear Wil's sweet voice in his head.

"What's up? I was just going home. I would have gone out for coffee with Paul and Corinne but they were in the middle of something and I decided not to interrupt them."

A smile formed on Rove's face. He had a feeling he knew what they were up to.

"I see. Well if you still want to go out for coffee I can meet you somewhere. Bell's gone to sleep."

"Has she now? What a boring woman. The least she could have done is slept with you first."

"Yeah I know. I think she's still worried about what was going on between us."

"But nothing was going on was it?" Wil asked, fishing for answers.

A short stabbing pain hit Rove in his chest but he chose to ignore it. He couldn't help but feel a little hurt that Wil didn't feel the same way. That didn't stop him from making his next decision though.

"Of course not. So do you want to go out for coffee or not?"

"I'm almost home now! Why don't you come over to my place?"

Rove liked that idea. It was very secluded and private. He could try to pull some moves on Wil without anyone trying to see.

"Okay then. I can be there in about five minutes." Rove replied.

"See you there." Wil said, and pressed the button to hang up the phone.

He waited for there to be a gap in the traffic before he drove back on the road. He could be home in about two minutes. Not really enough time to freshen up before Rove got there but Rove probably wouldn't mind anyway. After all, they were only friends.

Wil arrived home and quickly went inside. He grabbed himself a beer out of the fridge when there was a knock on the door. "That's gotta be Rove now." He said to himself.

Wil put his beer down on the table and went to answer the door. When he opened the door, he was greeted with a shy smile from Rove.

"Hey." Rove said.

"Come in. I've just got myself a beer. Do you want one?" Wil said, opening the door wider to welcome his friend in.

"Yeah that'd be great." Rove replied, making his way over to the fridge. "Don't mind if I help myself do you?"

"Of course not. You're welcome to do anything you want at my place mate."

While Rove had his back turned to Wil when he was getting his beer out of the fridge, a small smile formed on his face. Anything? he thought to himself. He liked that idea.

"Thanks mate." Rove said, making his way back to the lounge where Wil was already seated with his own beer.

"So what's up? Why'd you want to chat?" Wil asked.

"I've been thinking, you never finished off that massage for me."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. That was Belinda's fault. Don't tell me you just came over so I could give you a massage though."

"Of course not. I thought we could chat while you did that."

Wil smirked. "Yeah okay, just let me finish this beer first."

Wil skulled down the rest of his beer and put his empty can on the table he'd placed it on before. He stood up from the lounge and made his way behind it to stand over Rove properly.

"If you want the best massage you can get from me, you're going to have to take off your shirt. I prefer skin on skin contact for the best results."

Rove happily obliged. He skulled the rest of his can and put it down on the table next to Wil's empty can then quickly removed his shirt from his body. Wil started work on Rove's shoulders.

A shiver rolled down Rove's spine as Wil's hands made contact with his skin. He felt himself expanding but tried to tell himself to calm down. He kept telling himself that Wil didn't want the same things as him and that he had a girlfriend, but that didn't work. He was still getting larger.

Rove moved his hands up and placed them on Wil's. He gripped them hard enough to let Wil know he wanted him to stop.

"What's wrong?" Wil asked.

Wil removed his hands from Rove's shoulders and Rove turned around, sitting on his knees on the lounge and looking up at Wil.

"Is this wrong?" Rove questioned.

"What? All I'm doing is giving you a harmless massage, just like I'd promised you."

Rove jumped up off the lounge and walked around to stand next to Wil. His hand moved upwards and traced a path through Wil's hair. Their eyes locked. Wil noticed the intensity of Rove's eyes and could tell there was something there. Something more than just friendship. They couldn't hide their true feelings any more. Wil leaned down to Rove and their lips met for the first time.
