Part 4
I ran outside into the rain but i didnt even notice that i was getting soaked. I wasnt angry... i dont know why i ran but i needed to get away, to think. To let all this information sink in. She wasnt my realy mother... she didnt give birth to me. I now understood why there was that special bond with Stephanie. She was the only child they had that was blood related to both of them. Dad was there the whole time, Dad knew about her existance before she was born... Dad wanted her. Of course he always said he wanted me from the very begining but i know he resents me. I read a log book he was keeping in hospital when he couldnt talk. He was going to put me up for adoption, he was walking away from the adoption agency when he was hit by thr car.
Most would blame themselves... i did... but now... now its changed. It wasnt my fault at all... it was that... that woman who claims to be my mother. That woman who lied to have me concieved and dropped me like a hot potato when she couldnt cope. She wasnt there when i was sick or when i needed help with my homework. She wasnt there when i hurt myself of needed a costume for our school performances... She wasnt my mum... i had a mum who i loved so very much. I looked at my watch when i came to this realisation and noticed that i had been walking around in the rain for 2 hours. They would be worried sick! i thought and ran home sneezing alot along the way. I ran up the steps and burst in the door to see Mum and Dad sitting there looking at the door...waiting for me...
"RANDY!!! where have you been!! I was so worried about you... you're soaked!"
"Im sorry mum" i said and she looked at me and smiled.
"So you dont hate me.. for.. not.."
"You're my mum... always have been, always will be"
And for the rest of the day everything was normal again. I got a cold though from the rain, but Steph made me soup and sang to me whilst i lay in bed.
I was confident that everything would be fine. Of course that didnt last long. I heard a knock at the door, my dad shouting something and some footsteps coming down towards my room.
