Part 30
'Jenny!!!!!' I screamed as i saw her frightened face fall further from me.....
Suddenly she stopped falling... she just hung there... i looked to see what happened and noticed a branch that grabbed hold of her pocket.
"Help!" she yelled helplessly...
she wasnt far down and i knew that i might be able to reach her if i could get down the cliff a little more...
"HANG ON!!!!"
"VERY FUNNY" she cried back..
I looked around to see my options.... i saw an old looking wooden tower... it looked like a small windmill...
"PAUL!!! wrap your feet around the bottom and hold my ancles"
He did so not even thinking.. which was good for a change...
I reached over and could almost reach...
"Jenny... grab my arm!"
"I CANT REACH!!!"
"DONT BE A WIMP!!!!.. You either reach or die"
She got a new strength i could see and she grabbed a rock near by... it was sitting just above her... She pulled herself up a little and managed to grab my hand....
"Jenny your going to have to pull yourself up.... "
"Im trying..."
"TRY HARDER"
She managed to pull her way up a little further and grabbed my elbow... She grabbed hold of the edge and i began to pull her over...
I let go of her arms for a second and she slipped... i saw her again holding onto the edge and grabbed her again....
"Dont do this again..."
I pulled her over and it was made easier with paul who's arms were now around my waist ....
she hugged me tightly....
"Well that was good exercise.." i said and we all laughed...
"Thanx"
"Rich is awake.." i said and she let go and ran back towards the cave as fast as she could...
me and Paul continued to walk arm in arm... taking it easy...
We arrived back to the cave and Jenny was stroaking RIch's head... he was just getting up as we walked towards him...
"Jenny...." he said weakly... your ok..."
"I love you" (awwwww)
"I love you too" (even bigger AWWWWWWW)
They hugged eachother for a long time and Rich broke away..
"ow... what do you have in your pocket?"
"I ahh..."
She put her hands in her pockets and retrieved something that silenced us all..
"Its the...." i couldnt say it...
"The... its the ring!" Paul yelled..."
"so... what do we do with it?" TIm asked and we looked at eachother....
" I think i have an idea" i said...
We walked to where i remember seeing a carving in a tree... a carving that said Bill...
"This is where Bill was buried..."
"But what about Danny?" Jenny asked...
"yeah.... lets follow that map he drew in the diary...."
It didnt take us long to get there and luckily half the cliff had coroded away into a hill like slope..... We carefully walked down and scanned the area....
"Guys... i think ive found something"
We all headed over to Tim and saw a few bones...
"Thats him... "
"How do you know"
"I can feel it"
Paul smiled at me as Tim gathered the bones into a bag and we headed up the hill... me and Paul holding hands....
We walked back to the grave sight and using a rusted shovel that was near the tree... we dug a grave for Danny's remains...
"Now what..." Tim asked...
"I think...." I bent down to Bill's grave and placed the ring on top...
"Rest easy bill..." i said quietly and stood up to join the others...
"Lets go.."
We began to head back towards the cave..
"My jumper!" i yelled...
"Ill meet you there..." the others headed off...
I walked back to the grave site and picked up my jumper and headed back... just as i began walking i felt something which causes me to look back...
I saw.... A figure.... bending over the grave...
Bill... he stood up.. ring in hand... and looked at me... he had a look of contentment... and im sure there was a tear down his face... i knew he was thanking me... he turned around and faded into the bush... and i saw a boy.... Walking behind him... he turned around and waved... I waved back... and i knew i was about to cry...
I walked back towards the cave and i heard a helicopter...
"GUYS!!!!!!! GUYS!!!!" i yelled and they came running..
"WE'RE SAVED!!!!" Tim yelled....
Rich and jenny embraced and kissed and Paul and i hugged....
We looked at eachother with the wind from the blades blowing ubove us...
"What the hell" i said and kissed him...
Tim just stood and looked happy.... yet... not..
The copter dropped a rope to us and we climbed up... There was a woman inside with a medical kit..
Tim sat next to her and she introduced herself
"Tim... " he said and couldnt keep his eyes of her...
Me and Paul Kissed again as the copter lifted into the air and headed back to where we came from...
Atleast now... Bill and Danny can rest...
And my life has just gotten better ..
