Part 15
"He's still in intensive care and you won't be able to see him until visiting hours tomorrow. I think it would be best if you would all just go home and get some sleep." The doctor said.
"We're not going to have to cancel our show are we? We still have eighteen shows left to do and they're all sold out." Wil whined.
At this time, Wil was not feeling very friendly towards Belinda. He was probably going to have to refund people's tickets. For some reason, Wil didn't think the people who bought the tickets would want to keep them and just see him, with perhaps Corinne and Paul as special guests. They paid to see Rove as well.
"Well I think you're just going to have to find something else to do - you might not have to cancel all the shows, just as long as Rove won't need to move his body very much."
Wil closed his eyes and tried not to blurt something out he'd regret.
"How bad is he?" Wil asked.
"A couple of broken ribs and a fractured leg. He's pretty lucky there was no more damage."
Wil sighed and sat back down in the chair. Paul looked at him and then turned back to the doctor.
"Are you sure we can't see him now?"
The doctor shook his head.
"I'm sorry no. The best thing you can do for Rove is to go home and get some sleep and come back tomorrow."
The doctor left and Corinne wrapped her arm around Paul's waist.
"Come on let's go back to my place. Wil, you need a ride?"
Wil looked up.
"Yeah that'd be good thanks."
Corinne turned to Belinda.
"How about you?"
"No I think I might just stay here for a bit."
"No."
Wil jumped to his feet, looking angrily at Belinda. She turned to face him.
"What do you mean no?"
"I mean no. You're not going to stay here. If anyone is staying here it's me, not you. Rove is my boyfriend now not yours, you'd better learn to accept that."
Belinda was about to say something else but thought better of it when she saw the look on Wil's face. She turned back to Corinne and Paul.
"Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll just catch a taxi home."
Belinda turned and headed off down the hall, leaving Wil to mutter a few obscenities under his breath. Corinne left Paul's side to sit down next to Wil, placing an arm around his shoulders.
"Come on, we're gonna take you home."
"No I want to stay."
"Wil.."
"Corinne please, I want to be here in case he wakes up. I'm not leaving until he does."
Corinne looked up at Paul, they both knew that it was pointless to try and argue with Wil in his current frame of mind. Corinne kissed him on the cheek and then got to her feet once more. Paul gave Wil another quick hug.
"Call us if you need anything alright? We'll be back in the morning."
Wil forced a smile.
"Thanks mate."
Paul slid his arm around Corinne's waist and she rested her head on his shoulder as they made their way down the hallway, leaving Wil all alone.
"Rove look out!"
Wil screamed out as he awoke in a cold sweat, his whole body shaking. That image of Rove getting hit by the tram, the fear Wil felt in his heart when he thought he'd lost him. Wil knew it would haunt him for the rest of his life.
He lay back down on the floor of the waiting room, trying desperately to get at least some sleep. He'd given up on lying on the chairs; it was just impossible to get comfortable. He'd half drifted off to sleep when a movement in the hallway caught his eye. He stood up and quietly snuck out to investigate.
